Government Announces Proposal for Remote Voting at Town Hall Meetings.

At last week’s LGA Conference, Deputy PM Angela Rayner announced the government’s proposal to permit hybrid attendance and remote voting during Council Committee meetings convened at Town Halls. With 9 out of 10 councils in favour, these measures aim to strengthen local devolution, broaden possibilities for civic involvement, and innovate service delivery.
